Servants of Mercy began its ministry in 1999 with the only focus of providing a workshop on crisis intervention. Today the ministry has expanded its vision to be a multi-faceted ministry through training, conferences, illustrated teachings and the International House of Mercy.
Susan retired as the Supervisor of the Victim Service Center with the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office in 2006. During her 16 year career as a Victim Advocate she embraced the pain and suffering of those affected by crime and unexpected death.
She has received extensive training in assisting victims of domestic violence and co-victims of homicide. She was a National Certified Crisis Responder and National Certified Advocate through NOVA, the National Organization of Victim Assistance until 2009.
In April of 2018 Susan Lost her husband of 48 years to liver cancer. This journey of grief has given her a deeper understanding of what it means to “grieve with the Holy Spirit”.
